We're very sad to learn of the death at the weekend (7th January 2018) of Chris Tsangarides.
A producer and engineer with a long history and some big records in his portfolio, we first worked with him when he was asked to mix our Live 161203 Astoria DVD, and this happy couple of days led on to him being chosen to be producer on the Carnival album.
Chris had an expansive Greek Cypriot personality, loved life and loved music and was a constant source of great stories and boundless encouragement and enthusiasm, even when handicapped by some of the problems that the Carnival sessions were plagued with; even in the bad moments, he kept his cool with patience and humour. His considerable knowledge of music was also matched by his abilities in the kitchen, stocked at all times with the very best olives and an array of Greek delicacies.
RIP Chris. Many thanks, big respect and condolences to his family and those closest to him.
